Yakuza
The project
YAKUZA is a forty-two-second short film in ten scenes. An old boss is being fitted for a suit in a tailor's house at the edge of the forest when one word arrives: someone is coming. Nobody runs and nobody raises a voice. The studio made the story, the edit and the titles, and built a director's pitch and a set of motion posters around it.
Rural Japan, late autumn. A family runs its business out of an old tailor's house: suits upstairs, money in the room below. The young men drive, wait and count. The tone is rain, gravel, black cars and one warm flame. Every image is AI concept work made in Higgsfield and animated in Kling; the edit, the titles and the pitch are the studio’s.

The director's pitch

Motion posters
Act I — 00:00—00:20
Four men wait beside three black cars. A convoy runs through the cedars, a pistol rests in a gloved hand, and one lighter flares on the back seat.

Act II — 00:21—00:42
The old boss is being fitted for a suit when one word arrives: danger. He does not turn around. Below the tailor's floor the money is counted, and the tailor ties four boxes.

Beyond the cut
Six scenes made for the film that did not fit in forty-two seconds, each placed where it would sit in a longer cut.

The titles and the motion
One title in red, ヤクザ over YAKUZA, and every other word small and white. The posters move four ways: a slow push, rising type, drawing rules and one pulse of the glow.
The pitch
Thirty-three slides in three sets, two per scene: the shot with its notes, then a contact sheet of the takes.
